While all the buzz surrounding Sanjivani 2 these days is about Dr Sid (Namit Khanna) and Dr Ishani's (Surbhi Chandna) growing romance. After Sid risks his life to save Ishani, the lady falls hard for Dr Sid as nobody has ever come to her rescue as he did. And while the credit for making the doctor duo realise their feelings, goes to Dr Asha (Rashmi Singh), there is some bad news for her fans. Actress Rashmi Singh, who played the beloved role, has quit the show and stepping into her shoes is Chandni Bhagwanani, who was last seen in Roop — Mard Ka Naya Swaroop.

"It is difficult to replace someone because people have already accepted him/her in that role. Though I love challenges, I am a bit nervous as I will be facing a camera almost after a year and that, too, with a character, someone else has already established. Chandni, in a conversation with LatestLY, revealed that she will be seen entering the show from tonight's (October 4, 2019) episode. Says Chandni, "I was initially nervous, but the fandom has been very encouraging. There is no hate and I am getting messages from her fans where they are writing to me and telling me that while they will miss Rashmi as Asha, they are happy to see me come on board."

Ask her why did she take up a show wherein she will be seen playing a parallel lead and pat comes an honest reply from Chandni, "In today's time, everyone wants to become an actor. There is less of demand but more of supply and I am someone who believes that you must be seen on the screen. As it is I am returning to television after a year and when the role is albeit that of a parallel lead, but is in a good show and I know I can pull it off, why not?"

We tried reaching Rashmi Singh for a comment but she did not take our calls. The lady is currently vacationing in Italy and is giving us all some travel blues. Here's welcoming Chandni onboard Sanjivani 2.
