Rohit Purohit and Sheena Bajaj did the Grih Pravesh of their home two days back. They have purchased a sprawling home in Borivali overlooking the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The interiors of the home will be done in six months or so. Sheena Bajaj tells us, "As of now, we are staying in Mira Road. It takes Rohit a lot of time to travel to Film City from here. He leaves home at 5 am, does his gym sessions near the sets and heads there. Even in the evenings, it is a two hour drive back home."

The couple have decided to cut down on the travel. She said, "We are now moving to a place close to Film City. We will move into the Borivali home once it gets done." It seems they were staying in Mira Road as Sheena Bajaj was busy with Vanshaj. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai happened out of the blue and has changed their plans of residence. She tells us, "Our new home overlooks the forest. Rohit loves nature and liked the sense of calm the place offered. The new flat is spacious, and Rohit always wanted a big home. But now we need to move to Film City as he is finding it very tiresome to travel daily to YRKHH sets." Sheena Bajaj says, "Rohit is an exceptionally gifted. We have been together for more than a decade now. We were friends then. At that time, he had absolutely nothing. But I saw the potential in him. I realised that he would shine if he had the right partner. He was lacking the emotional support and companionship needed to spread his wings. At that time, we were not dating. Sheena Bajaj said that Rohit Purohit has literally built his career from scratch. She said he would be embarrassed to take her to his place despite her insistence. Sheena Bajaj said, "Rohit would take me to his home as he felt he did not match the standards. I would tell him he is not a materialistic person, and it did not matter. I told him that he would surely find his place one day. But he does not take my guidance in his career. Both of us want to retain our individual identities."

Finally, Sheena Bajaj said they are super proud of their achievement. "A decent home in Mumbai costs in crores. We did it with our hard work. None of us have great financial backing from family. His father is retired and mother is a housewife. My parents too do not have generational wealth. This is our first big milestone," she said her voice full of emotion.

The couple plan to get a swanky set of wheels next. "That is target number two," Sheena Bajaj signs off.
