Rising Star 2 Winner: Hemant Brijwasi Takes The Winning Trophy Home

Rising Star 2 grand finale was a grand musical affair. Hemant Brijwasi walked away with the winning trophy last night with Rohanpreet and Vishnumaya Ramesh emerging a runner ups. Hemant took home a prize money of Rs. 20 lakhs. He garnered 83% votes after his performance last night. We are pretty sure even the judges are elated that Hemant won the trophy. Hemant made it to the finale along with the four other contestants and Zaid Ali got eliminated. The last round had Rohanpreet singing Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno and he received around 78% votes. Vishnumaya then took over and sang Silsila Yeh Chahat Ka from Devdas. But since Rohanpreet got more votes than Vishnumaya, the final battle was between him and Hemant.

Reality shows are definitely Hemant's cup of tea and this is not the first one that he has won. Hemant has also won a season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs in 2009. He also participated in India's Got Talent and Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar 2. Rising Star is one reality show that is unique and got the audience interested with its concept. It's the only show that has given fans and audiences the complete authority to choose the winner and it's all live.
