Writer-Producer Mahesh Pandey, under Mahesh Pandey Productions, premiered his new show Vidya on September 9, 2019. The show that stars actors Meera Deosthale and Namish Taneja in the lead roles and other cast members like Liliput and Vaqar Shaikh. While Monalisa shot to fame with her stint in Bigg Boss 10, Vikrant entered the show for a few days and the pair also tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend on the show, just like Sara Khan and her boyfriend Ali Merchantt, but the pair's marriage hit rock bottom and separated later on. Monalisa recently made her fiction debut with Star Plus' Four Lions fantasy thriller Nazar where she plays a daayan. Monalisa's portrayal has been appreciated very much on the show. And now, its Vikrant's turn to enter the Hindi television industry. the husband is all set to make his debut in a fiction show on Colors, titled Vidya.

The actor will play the key role of an MLA Avtaar Singh. He says, "TV is a great medium to work. While there was a lot happening when I was doing Bigg Boss with Monalisa last season, this year I felt it was time to be part of a fiction show where I will get a scope to perform. I am happy that I am playing a politician in Vidya." Besides, TV Vikrant is an excellent Bhojpuri actor and has around 26 films to his credit. He is a big star in Bhojpuri films.
