In an unfortunate turn of events, actor and dancer Faisal Khan and girlfriend Muskaan Kataria’s dreamy Nach Baliye 9 journey will be cut short in all probability. Faisal was rushed to the hospital and had to be taken in for surgery after falling off his horse while shooting for Chandragupta Maurya on Tuesday in Umbergaon. India Forums reported that Faisal had broken his right leg after the fall while shooting for the last episode of his show.

Faisal also shared a picture of his bandaged leg and asked his well-wishers to pray for his speedy recovery.

A source close to Faisal told BT this morning, “Faisal underwent surgery, which lasted for over a couple of hours. Doctors have advised him two-week bed rest, and he has been told to avoid dancing for six to eight weeks. In fact, he had only a couple of days of shoot for Chandragupta Maurya, which is ending soon. It is obviously a given that Faisal and Muskaan will have to cut short their so far splendid Nach Baliye 9 journey short, unless and until his team of choreographers, Nach judges Ahmed Khan and Raveena Tandon and the producers of the dance reality show brainstorm and come up with an alternative like Muskaan performing with a choreographer or the duo doing their acts with Faisal in a wheelchair until his recovery.

We tried reaching Faisal but he did not answer our calls at the time of filing the story. Either way, it's very unfortunate to see the duo, who have scored straight Hi5s’ for all of their performances, not perform for the upcoming few weeks. While Faisal and Muskaan will be missed on the show, we pray for Faisal’s quick and full recovery.
