In 2003, every Indian family wanted to know the answer to one question, who is Jassi? Right from youngsters to even mommies, all were curious about who is this clumsy and not-so-good looking girl starring opposite Apurva Agnihotri in a serial titled, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi? Finally, it was unveiled that the girl was none other than Mona Singh. An adaptation from a popular American show, Ugly Betty, the transformation of Jassi from a not-so-pleasant female to a babe made her sensation overnight. But well, Mona Singh is not only known for her role as Jassi. As further, the actress blew everyone's minds with her stellar performances. From portraying an unconventional character to taking up challenging roles a decade later, here's taking a look at Mona Singh's successful career during her reign. ALTBalaji's M-O-M Mission Over Mars: Twitter Hails The Sakshi Tanwar-Mona Singh Mangalyaan Mission Starrer! (View Tweets).

Well, after saying goodbye to her Jassi's character, Mona  participated and won the first season of dancing reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She did not stop there and then took up multiple projects which involved hosting Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (all three seasons) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. But seems like she was destined to work on TV, as after a hiatus, we saw her again on the small screen in Ekta Kapoor's hit daily soap, Kya Hua Tera Vaada. The real deal came in her life when she was seen in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer 3 Idiots and two other films, Utt Pataang and Zed Plus.

The only hurdle Mona faced in her life was when an MMS of her and then rumoured boyfriend Vidyut Jammwal had leaked online. When the video was out, Singh claimed it to be fake. In a statement, Mona had said, "It is just completely appalling and disgraceful that someone on the web can go to the extent of morphing my face onto someone else's body to create a sensational video! People need to realise that before being actors we're respectable women and have family and friends who we're answerable to and who get affected by negativity that is thrown in our direction." Mona was last seen on ALTBalaji's show, Mission Over Mars (M-O-M) and will next be seen in a short film titled, Luft. Happy 38th birthday, Mona Singh!
