Veteran Bollywood actor and director Manoj Kumar, who is one of the most loved actors in the Hindi cinema, is 82 today (July 24)! Bollywood actors and fans have flooded the social media with wishes for the veteran star on his 82nd birthday. Manoj Kumar was named Harikishan Giri Goswami at birth. However, the star changed his name to Manoj Kumar after watching Dilip Kumar's character in the film Shabnam. The legend, who is known for acting and directing films with patriotic themes, was fondly called ‘Bharat Kumar’ by movie buffs.

Speaking of awards, Manoj Kumar was honoured with the Padma Shri by the government of India in 1992 and in 2015, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed upon him. As Manoj Kumar turns a year older on July 24, here are some of his memorable patriotic numbers.
