After a fantastic start at the box office, the epic war drama, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starring Kangana Ranaut, has taken a dip on its second Friday. While the film held well in its opening week despite facing tough competition from the blockbuster holdover release Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal, it seems the mixed word of mouth is finally catching up with the movie. However, Manikarnika, which released in 3,000 screens across the country, is enjoying a decent run at the domestic market. Kangana starrer Manikarnika has earned Rs 3.50 crore on Friday, thus, taking its total collection to Rs 64.65 crore in just 8 days. Earlier today, Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to the micro-blogging site to share the official collection of the film and wrote, "#Manikarnika takes a dip on [second] Fri... Should gather speed again over the weekend... [Week 2] Fri 3.50 cr. Total: ₹ 64.65 cr. India biz. #Hindi #Tamil #Telugu"
Helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is a period drama, in which Kangana essays the role of a warrior Queen Jhansi; the actress underwent hardcore physical training for the same.
