Dehradun, August 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared on a special show on 'Man Vs Wild with Bear Grylls' on Discovery channel on Monday. The duo ventured the terrains of the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, and reportedly the Park has earned 1.26 lakh from Discovery channel, for giving permission for shooting rights. According to a Times of India report, the permission for shooting the special episode was received a couple of months back, which included access to many rugged areas. As the duo walked through Corbett National park, they spoke about Modi's childhood and how it was close to nature in the special episode. The host of the show, Bear Grylls took to Twitter on July 29 to announce that people across 180 countries will get to see the unseen side of PM Modi. In a short video of the show that was shared by Grylls on his Twitter account, PM Modi was seen rowing a boat and taking an adventurous ride in a river along with the adventure travel show host.
Reportedly, the show was shot as a means to promote awareness on animal conservation and environmental change. The announcement of the Prime Minister's episode comes on the occasion of International Tigers Day.
