Today's episode of Kumkum Bhagya starts with the prosecution cross questioning Avantika as the lawyer is convinced that Pragya(Sriti Jha) is lieing. They say that the woman is not Simonika and that someone which is obviously Pragya who is trying to change the case. The prosecution keeps questioning Avantika and finally the woman confesses that she is Avantika who is a business woman and she was going through a bad phase and she wanted to save her business and that is when Pragya convinced her for this offer. The court is now convinced that it is Avantika. As the judge is ready to give his verdict the defense lawyer plays a part and acts like he has an asthma attack. The judge gives a break so that the lawyer can take rest.

Avantika is seen to be meeting the prosecution and it is revealed that she herself had provided the prosecution with the proof that she is Avantika. Avantika says that she wants to see Abhi punished with no less than death sentence. Pragya walks in and Avantika reveals to her that she is Simonika indeed like Pragya had already doubted. Simonika reveals about how she manipulated a poor girl into believing her story about having a mother who was near death and a sister who died and was a twin.  This girl agreed to do plastic surgery for Simonika. Later she herself killed the girl and then bought the entire mortury staff too so that her finger prints are matched with the dead girl and hence it is proved that the dead girl is indeed Simonika.

Pragya is not very shocked and Simonika says that she proved to the entire world that she is dead yet Pragya for the sake of her love for Abhi(Shabbir Ahluwalia) refused to believe this and became a detective. She tells her the entire story and then says that she has now destroyed the entire Mehra family and made Pragya lose out on all hope. Aliya blames Pragya for being the reason of losing the chance of getting Abhi out. Tanu also supports Aliya but Dadi makes them quiet and says that it is Pragya who has always gotten Abhi out of danger. Disha too stands by Pragya. Disha gets Pragya for the verdict. The judge starts giving the verdict when the defense says that they want to interrogate Pragya. Pragya walks up and says that she wants Simonika's finger prints to be matched with this woman here who claims to be Avantika.
