Kapil Shah returned with his second season of The Kapil Sharma Show and that's apparently not fetching good numbers. As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the new season is not getting good ratings and the host has even slashed down his fees excessively for it. While the show is being produced by Salman Khan, Kapil is the co-producer for it. From charging Rs 60-70 Lakhs per weekend episode to coming down to Rs 15-20 Lakhs for the same, this rumoured pay cut by Kapil and his team is making all the wrong headlines. However, is it even true? Have the comedians really slashed down their fees? Well, we seem to have an answer for it finally. The Kapil Sharma Show: Did the Comedian Take a Huge Pay Cut From 60 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs for This New Season?

BollywoodLife got in touch with Krushna Abhishek, who's also a part of The Kapil Sharma Show, season 2. When they asked him about his pay cut stories, he simply said, "These pay cut rumours are false. We are getting our stipulated amount. We are extremely happy working together. Anyways, money is secondary. No one can beat the fact that The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest comedy show in the country." He even mentioned how the Dabangg actor was a generous producer and pay cut was out of the question. The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2: Here's A Glimpse Into What The First Three Episodes of The Show Will Be Like!

While Kapil Sharma is yet to confirm or refute this rumour, a source from the channel was adamant on tagging it untrue and baseless. "Only time will tell if the second season is a success. We are getting enough and more sponsorship for the show till now. The response on social media was also good. The producers are not cutting costs at any levels. The success or failure will be evident after we get the first TRPs," it said. Well, we certainly hope there's no truth behind this pay cut story and the show eventually picks momentum in the coming days.
