Koffee with Karan 6 has been quite about sibling love. The latest episode has been made explosive by the Kapoor siblings - Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan. The trio spoke at length about their relationship that they share with their father, the never ageing Anil Kapoor. But that was not the only highlight of this episode. Interesting details about the siblings were scattered over the one-hour episode in bits and pieces. Like for example, the revelation of the fact that this year's biggest sleeper hit Andhadhun was offered to Harshvardhan Kapoor. Interesting, right? Can you imagine Andhadhun led by anyone else other than Ayushmann Khurrana? Siddharth Wants to Do an AndhaDhun Tamil Remake and He Has Ayushmann Khurrana’s Blessings for It!
The revelation was made by the host of this 'stop making sense' show, Karan Johar, himself. He asked Rhea which movie would have been a better fit for her brother's debut, and pat she answered Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun. KJo then revealed that the movie was also offered to Harshvardhan, who nodded in agreement. We are left to wonder what must have made this movie finally go to Ayushmann instead. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Andhadhun is the Highest Rated Indian Film on IMDb in 2018.
Harshvardhan had one release this year, Vikramaditya Motwane's vigilante drama, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. The movie was beautiful and one of the bests that came out in 2018. But, unfortunately, it is only now on its way to earning a cult status.
Andhadhun managed to earn over Rs 74 crore at the box office. While it is disheartening that the movie fell less than Rs 30 crore short of entering the 100 crore club, the overwhelming word of mouth and the positive critical consensus makes up for it.
