This is Akki’s second fire stunt within the past week after he had set himself on fire for the announcement of his digital debut.

Looks like khiladi Akshay Kumar has developed an affinity for fire. It was only last week that Akshay literally was on flames (obviously with all the necessary safety protection and gear) for the launch of his Amazon Prime Video web-show tentatively titled The End. When asked about it, Akshay told DNA, “I was wearing a fire suit. The team made sure that I was protected from any untoward incident. I always state that whatever stunts we do should never be tried at home. They’re neither for children nor for grown-ups.” Shamita Shetty Is Mighty Upset With the Way People Have Been Blaming Her for Poor Performance In Khatron Ke Khiladi 9- EXCLUSIVE

“The stunts are done under the supervision of the stunt directors, with rehearsals. We break glasses, jump from buildings and helicopters, but people shouldn’t even try that. With us, there are about 300 people looking after our security. There are cables, machines, etc. When I performed a stunt at the last annual police show, the team had done a few rehearsals to make sure that nothing went haywire,” Akshay had revealed. Akshay Kumar May Not Fear Fire, but Mrs Funnybones Aka Twinkle Khanna Can Leave Him Terrified

And now, we’ll see Akshay play with fire yet again in tonight’s finale episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi: Jigar Pe Trigger. Only yesterday, Akshay had posted a photo with Rohit Shetty and gave it a cryptic caption. Now we know that it was for Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.

A source close to the show spilled details to DNA, “The stunt was about a truck chasing Akshay, who had to cross four-five cars, which were on fire and reach the finishing line. Rohit was seen telling the actor how he should cross the cars — whether he should roll or move sideways — and after doing a technical rehearsal, the daredevil actor executed the whole stunt within two takes.”

Well, looks like Akshay is on fire and even on a roll these days (pun intended). It is also being said that Akshay will be charging a whopping amount for his digital debut. On the movies front, Akshay’s next release is Kesari, a real-life story based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army fought valiantly against 12,000 Afghani invaders.
