Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2 Review: The Mona Singh-Ronit Roy- Gurdeep Kohli Starrer Is Very Relatable And Drives Home Questions That Most People Don't Ask!

While there is no denying the fact that the content on Alt Balaji is what many viewers were waiting for, one of the platform’s most successful dramas that placed the content quality on the top was their Mona Singh-Ronit Roy- Gurdeep Kohli starrer Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain's first season. The show made us all question if extramarital relationships were that bad a thing when there is no love in a marriage. Season 1 of the show ended with Poonam (Gurdeep Kohli) and Rohit (Ronit Roy) getting divorced and Rohit getting married to Ananya (Mona Singh). Rohit and Poonam’s daughters Bani (Pooja Bannerjee) and Nikki (Palak Jain) too, mess up their lives. While Bani marries in haste and regrets her decisions, Nikki is falling in love but is conflicted about reacting on her feelings, for the fear of messing up her relationship, like her parents’. And all is not hunky dory between Rohit and Ananya, when the latter decides to go to Qatar to make a career for herself, while Rohit’s stubborn attitude and male ego keep him back in India. The story of season 2, starts with Rohit realizing that he misses Ananya and making frantic efforts to save his failing second marriage with her. He goes to Qatar to make amends with Ananya, but the duo only ends up arguing more. While Ananya does not want to backtrack the progress that she has made in Qatar and her career, Rohit is of the opinion that Ananya’s career-minded attitude is putting a strain on their marriage.
And amidst, all of this, Rohit is also bogged down by the problems that his daughters have been facing. And when Poonam enters the scene in the midst of it, it only creates more insecurities for Ananya, who believes that ‘Rohit is repeating history’. She understands his concerns up to a certain extent but is unable to come to terms with Rohit’s growing concerns with his past family and is concerned that what Rohit did to Poonam, could happen to her as well. And this complex relationship dynamics and the suspense of how will the story of Poonam, Rohit and Ananya end, is what makes Kehne Ko Hai Humsafar 2 a must watch.

As far as performances are concerned, with actors Mona Singh, Gurdeep Kohli and Rohit Roy acing the show, there is no doubt that the trio completely owns their scenes. And add into the mix Suchitra Pillai and that’s what we call terrific casting. Also, kudos to the team of writers for writing a story which has aspects that everyone in daily life can relate to in some way or the other. It only drives certain realizations closer home. All in all, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2 is a must watch.
