The much-awaited reality show that rides high on knowledge and less drama is back and how! Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with the tenth season and it's better than before. It's surprising how Amitabh Bachchan manages to make us nostalgic with every season. The first episode started with Big B reciting a poem in Hindi and explaining it to viewers. Even if you are not a big fan of poetry, you will want to listen to him recite it with pin-drop silence around you. Every time I see Big B hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, my instance feeling is 'kitna time hogaya yaar yeh awaaz sunke' and I'm pretty sure that's with everyone.

KBC 10 keeps the old nostalgia intact but is visually more appealing for the audience. In addition to that, it is more viewer friendly now since it enables everyone to participate in the show from home. Big B also explains to you the rules of participating with the help of the graphics that appear on the screen. It looks more efficient. It might seem like a small thing to point out but it does make a world of difference. Sonia Yadav was the first contestant on the show and it was quite an impressive performance.

Big B balances really well between the fillers and the next question. He asked Sonia about her family and other details but he also made sure that he progressed to the next question pretty fast without wasting any time. Though I still feel that the show can be for just an hour and not an hour and a half. The questions in the first episode were comparatively simple. Okay, maybe I'm smarter than I used to be. The first episode was crisp, entertaining and quite gripping.
