It looks like actor Namik Paul, who shot to the television scene with Ek Duje Ke Vaaste and went on to play an avenging ghost in Ek Deewaana Tha and was last seen in Kavach Mahashivratri, was destined to be a part of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, one way or another. It can be recalled that Namik was previously in the news for entering the Ekta Kapoor reboot but he chose to take up Kavach instead. And now, after Kavach bid goodbye to the audience back in October, Namik has finally been roped in for the show. And for all you peeps who are wondering if Namik has been roped in for the role of Mr Bajaj, you are wrong. In fact, the hunk has been roped in for a cameo and we feel it will be for the role of Prerna’s (Erica Fernandes) new suitor, that Komolika/Sonalika (Aamna Sharif) and Anurag (Parth Samthaan) have chosen for her. As per the current track of the show, Sonalika convinces Anurag to be a good friend to Prerna and get her married to a nice guy who will give Prerna’s unborn child his name.
While news of Namik being roped in for the Star Plus show were doing the rounds for quite some time, confirming the news to SpotboyE, Namik was quoted as saying, “I can't disclose much about my character as it’s too early. But yes, I have started shooting and my character’s name is Viraj who is a banker. Whether the character is positive or negative, you will come to know in the show. One thing which I can tell you right now is that it will be a very interesting character.” Kasautii Zindagii Kay's Cast Just Grew Bigger With Ek Deewaana Tha's Namik Paul
Namik also revealed that he had purposely chosen not to comment because he wanted to first get confirmed for the show and start shooting and only then reveal his association with the show. The actor started shooting on Thursday.
