Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, reboot has been in the news for various reasons - for the reboot itself, for having roped in Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes as Anurag and Prerna, and then for the on-screen chemistry  and subsequent real-life relationship, and for casting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's ideal bahu Hina Khan for the role of Komolika, which btw.... the lady killed totally. After quitting Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Hina made her Cannes Film Festival 2019 debut after which she is currently shooting for her Vikram Bhatt film Hacked. However, Hina had at that point told the media that there were chances of her returning to the show to continue playing Komolika. However, seems like that is not going to happen according to SpotboyE, the makers have started looking at other faces for the role, that will soon be written into the show.

A few days back, actress Jasmin Bhasin's name had come up for being approached for the show. However, Jasmin had denied the rumours and even being approached by the production house.

After Jasmin's name came up, two more actresses' have apparently been approached to play Komolika in the show- Gauahar Khan and Karishma Tanna, as per SpotboyE. It is also being said that both Karishma and Gauahar have even given their look tests for the show. We tried reaching Gauahar and Karishma but both the ladies remained unavailable for comment.
