In a case of extreme human apathy, Lucky, the dog that was beaten up by the watchmen of Turf View Society, Worli, succumbed to his injuries yesterday. The dog was named Lucky by doctors treating it, after surviving brutal thrashing by the security guards at the behest of a Mr Bhatia who resided in the building. However, after fighting a 15-day battle with serious injuries to his head and abdomen, Lucky passed away and this has ignited a wave of fury amongst animal lovers all over the city. Karan Patel: 'I Don’t Like Ugly Competition, I Believe in Conducting Myself With Dignity on Reality Shows'

And amongst them is Television actor Karan Patel, whose love for dogs is very well known. He and wife Ankita Bhargava have a pet named Naughty and the duo treats it no less than they would their child. In fact, before flying off to Bulgaria to shoot for Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, Karan had expressed how he would be terribly missing his dog Naughty. Khatron Ke Khiladi 10: Karan Patel, Karishma Tanna, Tejasswi Prakash and Others Jet Off to Bulgaria for Rohit Shetty’s Stunt Reality Show (View Pics)

An infuriated Karan, who found out about Lucky’s death, has given out an angry and furious ultimatum to the Worli building resident Bhatia and the watchmen that he will make their lives difficult once he returns to India.

Many of Karan’s industry friends like Karanvir Bohra, Gaurav Wadhwa, Haarsh Limbachiyaa and Suyyash Rai among others offered Karan the assurance that they too stand behind him.

Lucky was thrashed by the watchmen on the behest of the building’s residents as a ‘lesson to other strays to not enter the society’. After its thrashing, the dog went into a coma after suffering from internal injuries and paralysis, before passing away yesterday (August 7, 2019) at Worli’s Crown Vet hospital. In fact, when the dog’s cries started attracting attention, the watchmen picked it up and threw it outside the building’s compound wall. An FIR was lodged against the society watchmen by the Bombay Animal Rights, who were arrested, but released later on bail.
