Jay and Mahhi have made sure that their fans are also a part of their journey and had even asked fans to suggest baby names for their daughter. After receiving many responses, the couple chose the name 'Tara'. Tara is Jay and Mahhi's first biological child. In 2017, the couple adopted their caretaker's kids - Khushi and Rajveer.
