Star Plus' Ishqbaaz – Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahaani, starring Nakuul Mehta and Niti Taylor, is one of the most popular shows on Indian Television. The show, that underwent a generation leap and a drastic makeover recently, has been in the news for a long time now, right from Surbhi's abrupt exit from the show Ishqbaaaz, casting Manjiri Pupala opposite Nakuul Mehta post generation leap to Manjiri's exit after fans protested demanding Surbhi return to introducing Niti Taylor (as Mannat) as Nakuul's love interest in the show. Now the latest we hear is that Ishqbaaz is slated to go off air soon. Yes, you read that right! The show is all set to shut its shop. Looks like the makers' efforts like introducing twists and turns to the storyline in a bid to entertain the ardent fans and grab more eyeballs didn't do much magic on its fans. Recently, Gul Khan confirmed to a news portal that the show is going off air from March 15. She said, "Ishqbaaz has been a wonderful ride and it is a great feeling that we achieved what we had set out to achieve. A show that challenged stereotypes and a platform where contemporary and relevant issues like #metoo and not being fluent in English could be dealt with! All we take away from Ishqbaaz is that your Ishqbaazi and love for telling stories just make you feel more alive and very happy!"
