Produced by Gul Khan, Star Plus' show 'Ishqbaaz' is one of the most loved shows on television. Ishqbaaz has always been audience's favourite, right from the starting and it has only moved ahead on the TRP charts. There is no denying that the track was an emotional one and the fans loved it. The makers now have revamped the show by introducing a generation leap, post which, the ever loved super six - Shivaay, Omkara, Rudra, Anika, Gauri, Bhavya -went missing from the show. But more than that fans have been extremely disappointed about the fact that they wouldn't be witnessing Shivika's love and the unbeatable chemistry anymore as the makers have roped in Manjiri Pupala to play Nakuul's love interest in Ishqbaaz. As Surbhi Chandna, who was seen romancing the actor Nakuul Mehta in the first season, has been replaced by newbie Manjiri post the leap, the latter has been getting negative fan feedback ever since. And recently a report in Telly Chakkar too suggested that the producer of the show is replacing the female lead and auditions have been started on a lookout for a new lead opposite Nakuul. However, the reports have been rubbished after a source (close to the development) told an entertainment portal that Manjiri is not being replaced.
Yes, you read that right! In a statement to Pinkvilla, the source informed, "The makers are definitely looking for another face but not to replace Manjiri but cast as a second lead. She will also be paired alongside Nakuul Mehta, who is a superstar in the show. The show will then probably lead to a love triangle of sorts. Hunt for the second female lead is on."
Well, now fans have enough reasons to rejoice, don't they? Also, it would be interesting to see what twist would this new lead will bring to the current track. Let us know how do you feel about the new development in the comment section below. Watch this space for further updates.
