Earlier, there were reports that suggested Siddharth Malhotra is all set to bring popular medical TV show Sanjivani back on the television. Now, the latest reports suggest that the makers are keen to launch the show by June this year. Yes, if the reports are anything to go by, Surbhi Chandna has been approached by the makers to play the female lead in the third season, while actor Namit Khanna might be seen playing Surbhi's love interest, although the hunt for the male lead seems to be still on.
In a statement to Pinkvilla, a source close to the development revealed, "The makers are hoping to begin shooting by May this year and set the ball rolling for the launch in June." However, it is still not clear what time slot the show might get but the channel will surely give it a prime time slot given the nature of the show. According to reports, apart from Surbhi, Gurdeep Kohli and Mohnish Behl, who were a part of season 1 as well, have also been roped in to be a part of the show.
