Ishqbaaz 16th August 2018 Written Update of Full Episode: Shivay Proposes to Anika And She Says 'Yes', But There is a Twist!
Anika leaves her happiness to destiny while Shivay is still confused about his feelings.
Today's episode of Ishqbaaz starts with Shivay(Nakuul Mehta) confessing to his mistakes in front of Nikhil's mother, but the woman asks him to marry Anika(Surbhi Chandna) if she is so pure.
Nikhil's mother then drags away her son as Gauri, Om and Priyanka return. They find Anika more disturbed than before. Anika takes Gauri away, and Shivay refuses to answer to Om's questions.
Om and Priyanka wonder what happened between the two. Late that night Shivay calls someone and asks them to meet him. Next morning it is Nikhil's mother who turns up.
Shivay asks her why she is standing in the way of Nikhil's happiness when she knows that Nikhil loves Anika. The mother says that she spent every last penny of her savings on Nikhil wedding that never happened.
Shivay says that he himself will take care of all the expenses plus he will also give Nikhil a job. This makes the woman happy, and she agrees to the wedding. Anika runs into her home happily and tells Gauri that she got a job with a very vouched for Events form.
Gauri is equally elated at her sisters's achievement. Anika gets Nikhil's call, and she gets disturbed. Nikhil asks Anika to meet him, but she says that she is busy. Nikhil is with Shivay, and he tells Shivay that Anika refused to meet him. Shivay then tries calling her.
He tells her that he wants to meet and to this Anika readily agrees. Nikhil is surprised that Anika agreed when Shivay called. Shivay alms him saying probably she is upset because of his mother.
It is revealed that Nikhil and his mother are just plotting to achieve their ambitions through Anika as they have realised that Shivay is feeling largely guilty.
Shivay comes to meet Anika, and he proposes her marriage., which she thinks is a proposal from Shivay. Anika is overwhelmed and hugs Shivay as she says yes. She though soon turns to realise that he was speaking about Nikhil.
Anika is left stunned to speak. Later Nikhil walks in with his parents, and he holds Anika's hand. Shivay gets a weird feeling as he sees this. Shivay leaves them inside and walks out.
He tries to control his feelings. Anika comes out and asks Shivay why he never cared to ask her what she wanted. Shivay asks her if this was not what her heart desired and also says that he wished her to be happy. Anika says that she will leave that to destiny.
