Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaaz journey came to an end recently. The makers wanted to move Shivaay and Anika's story ahead after a generation leap, with the introduction of their kids, as that was the logical progression of the story. However, Surbhi refused to play the role of a mother on-screen and this has led to her exit. The show's story will now focus on Shivaay and Anika's son Shivaansh Singh Oberoi, who will be played by Nakuul himself.
