House of the Dragon's season two has been a slow-paced chess match heavy on dialogue and strategy. Yet, the latest episode seven, titled The Red Sowing, ignites the series with a thrilling climax. As per reviews, the episode masterfully builds tension through meticulous world-building before erupting into a chaotic dragon-claiming spectacle. Critics are going gaga over the final twenty minutes of the episode and have termed it a visual and auditory feast, with stunning cinematography and a soaring score that perfectly complements the raw intensity of the scene. Emma D'Arcy's (Rhaenyra) performance also gets a thumbs up. HT: " Cinematographer Vanja Cernjul's work is splendid here, amply supported by Ramin Djawadi's rousing score, as the Blacks prepare to meet Vermithor, the biggest dragon after Vhagar. It is chaotic, horrifying and intense. Emma D' Arcy, in particular, is breathtaking here- a single shot back at her face signalling the fury and confidence in a full sweep. It is a thrill to watch."

Screenrant: "Overall, it was an episode that there are some small gripes about. The depiction of how much distance and time passed with Aemond and Vhagar chasing Ulf and Silverwing was questionable, at best; having another Corlys Velaryon and Alyn of Hull conversation in the exact same shipyard has me begging for them to have a conversation literally anywhere else (I assume this was done to ease production, but it stands out). However, the good certainly outweighs the bad, and hopefully this means House of the Dragon season 2 is ending on a very strong note." ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2: Rhaenyra and Mysaria’s Same-Sex Kiss in Episode 6 Surprises Fans; Here’s How Netizens Reacted to Emma D’Arcy and Sonoya Mizuno’s Passionate Smooch!

IGN: "Rhaenyra is triumphant. She can now call on six dragons and their riders: her own Syrax, Addam’s Seasmoke, Ulf’s Silverwing, Hugh’s Vermithor, Baela’s young Moondancer and Jacaerys’ Vermax. Oh, and Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell) is hiking around the Aerie, looking for dragon signs. But Jacaerys is furious with his mother, and Ulf, Hugh, and Addam have yet to be tested. Daemon has indeed rallied the Riverlords, but his loyalty remains in question."

Den of Geek: "Before the bonfires commence, Rhaenyra introduces this nameless rabble of lost cousins and kin, strangers and victims of her family’s legacy (many of whom likely are children or great-grandchildren of rape and the “First Night” privileges of silver-haired kings), to Vermithor, the now second-biggest living dragon in the world."
