Saraswatichandra was Gautam’s second show as the solo lead and boy, did he win over a huge fan base with it. Starring Gautam as the titular character and Jennifer Winget as his leading lady, the show was an audience favourite. Mahakumbh: Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani

Without taking a break after Saraswatichandra, Gautam Rode’s next choice role was the critically acclaimed Rudra’s in Star Bharat’s fantasy drama Mahakumbh: Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani. While the show did not rake in high numbers, Gautam and the show amassed major critical acclaim and also won a ‘Certificate of Merit’ at the 52nd Chicago International Television Awards.

Suryaputra Karn

The mythological story of Mahabharata told from the point of view of Kunti’s son Karna, saw Gautam play the titular character yet again. Tracing Karna’s journey from abandonment, to becoming one of the greatest archers that mythology still boasts of, the show marked Gautam's foray into the mytho genre and also won him the title of one of television’s most bankable stars.

Nach Baliye 5 & 6

Nach Baliye 5 was Gautam’s second stint as a host after India’s Got Talent 3. However, he was joined by another hunk Karan Wahi, and together, they made us drool over their 6 pack abs. in fact, a judge at that time, actress Shilpa Shetty even lovingly named Gautam and Karan as her ‘biscuit ki dukaan’. this magical duo was once again brought in for season 6 and their Jodi will forever be known as one of the best hosting duos after that of Kapil Sharma and Maniesh Paul.
