Even though India is pretty much caught up with the west, especially in terms of adapting its festive culture, the one fad that is yet to pick up pace amongst the youth of India is the tradition of Halloween. While Halloween is indeed celebrated in India, it is done so on a small scale. Earlier, we wrote about some Halloween special party songs, Halloween themed cocktails and party outfits among others. And now, we present to you some of the TV vamp avatars (makeup especially) that could work wonders for you at a Halloween party. Halloween in India: Here's Why Hallowe'en Isn't Widely Popular and Celebrated in The Country
Ramola Sikand from Kaahin Kissii Roz:
Sudha Chandran as Ramola Sikand left no stone unturned to make vamps look stylish and cool. With chunky chokers and extra-long sleek bindis, flashy eye-make up, not to mention some impressive acting chops, Sudha Chandran made Ramola Sikand iconic.
Komolika Chaubey in Kasautii Zindagii Kay:
Urvashi Dholakia became the most loved vamp that there can be after essaying the evil Komolika. Not only did she become a household name, but also her styling made a statement for the lady portrayed some striking looks in the show. From some classy Komolika make-up consisting of glossy overlined lips and dark and bold eye shadows, to chunky jewellery and coloured contact lenses lent the necessary evil to her character. Basically she owned her look.
Jigyasa Walia From Kasamh Se:
Ashwini Kalsekar as the ultimate vamp in Kasamh Se created a niche of her own with some less on flash, more on class kinda style statement. Her expressive eyes were accompanied with heavily kohled eyes and statement round bindis, making her look as sinister as ever.
Kali Pari From Baal Veer:
Upasana Singh as Kali Pari in Son Pari, is one contemporary glam vamp. Her eye make-up consisted of rhinestones and dramatic winged liner with sharp contour, a far cry from the TV bahus and their jewellery clad look.
While we have many such TV bahu looks that we can take inspiration from, for a Halloween party, we'd prefer the above-mentioned one, for each one of them has proven to be a timeless look.
