Game of Thrones 8 Episode 5: Daenerys Targaryen's Mad Queen Turn Gets the Lowest Ratings for Final Season on Rotten Tomatoes
According to the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, the ratings of the Game of Thrones 8 has been consistently dropping since the first episode.
Years of anticipation and a huge disappointment. Sounds familiar? Yes, we are talking about the eighth season of the most popular HBO series Game Of Thrones. The war of the seven kingdoms (and we are not missing out on the walking dead and dragons and complicated family love drama) has been building up for seven seasons and the final season was supposed to be the cherry on the top. However, it seems that the plot is not falling on the fans as expected and the critics are finding a hard time rating the show, despite much love and excitement. According to the ratings on an American review-aggregation website, the ratings of the GOT 8 has been consistently dropping since the first episode. Typing 'Bad Writers' in Google Search Will Give You Game Of Thrones Makers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff in Results - Here's Why!
As per the ratings published in Rotten Tomatoes, season 8 of GOT has shown a tremendous decline in the popularity, which is very Game of Thrones unlike. The first episode, Winterfell, premiered with an outstanding whirlwind of records and attracted 92% rating. The second episode, A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms, was sold at 88% rating. Falling further down, the third episode, The Long Night that featured the war of Winterfell, was expected to achieve a much higher rating than the obtained 75%. However, the fourth episode, The Last of The Starks, fell flat and garnered as less as 57% rating. The fifth episode, The Bells, shrunk further low to become the worst rated episode in the history of Game of Thrones. The Bells only attracted 51% rating.
The final season of GOT is attracting atrocious ratings and despite the much anticipation, the season is not doing well on the fans. The many controversial moments, from the death of many important characters to Daenerys Targaryen turning the mad Queen, we feel that they deserved a better rock-solid plot to thread their journey. The final episode of the finale season will premiere on May 20 and we cannot wait to see what Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen has to do to overpower the Mother of Dragons.
