1. Filming of the third episode:

'Battle of Winterfell' took nearly 55 days of shooting. Yes, you heard it. We know about films getting wrapped up in this much amount of time but given the dedication and level of detailing that goes inside a Game of Thrones scene, this pretty much suggests why we can expect to be wowed by this episode.

2. Actors involved in the scene:

With many of us fearing to see some of our favorite characters being killed off on the show in today's episode, it is going to be an emotional journey. This episode was shot with 750 people on the scene and that's got to be one of the most challenging shooting sequences on the series. Well, we'll just say prepare yourselves to bid adieu to at least a dozen of characters in this battle.

3. Longest battle sequence ever put on film!

According to the producers of the show, this is the longest battle sequence ever put in a film/TV show. Director Miguel Sapochnik told Entertainment Weekly that he tried to find a longer battle scene in a movie but the closest they found was the 40-minute siege of Helm's Deep in 2002's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It is till today considered to be one of the best battle scenes ever shot and now it seems like Game of Thrones is all set to give it a tough competition.

Episode three of the series is all set to air today on HotStar Premium from 6.30 AM onwards. Brace yourselves for the longest episodes as this is going to be a nail-biter. Stay tuned for more updates on the 'Battle of Winterfell'.
