Game of Thrones premiered the episode that fans had been waiting to watch for the past 7 seasons. The one that features Night King dying a brutal death. Game of Thrones 8's episode 3, titled The Long Night, was that episode which featured Arya Stark delivering a fatal stab to the long-feared evil, but not before an epic battle between Winterfell and the dead. The only catch is that many of us did not get to see the battle at all. The episode, as hundreds of Twitter users complained, was very dimly lit, making it very tough to figure out what's happening on the screen. Turns out, HBO compressed the episode for airing thus hampering the quality of the episode.

The revelation comes from the cinematographer who shot the very episode. Fabian Wagner was talking to TMZ, when he dropped the truth bomb but not without blaming the viewers as well. "We tried to give the viewers and fans a cool episode to watch," he said, adding, "I know it wasn't too dark because I shot it."

Fabian Wagner also told USA Today, that "[Game of Thrones] has always been very dark and a very cinematic show,"

The director of photography also spoke to Wired and said that viewers don't know how to adjust picture settings. "A lot of the problem is that a lot of people don’t know how to tune their TVs properly,” he told Wired. “A lot of people also, unfortunately, watch it on small iPads, which in no way can do justice to a show like that anyway.”

Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Let us check out a few of the Twitter reactions to the said problem.

So, there you go guys. Just re-watch the episode in a dark room after adjusting pictures settings on your TV. And don't watch it on your phone. After all, it is a very cinematic episode albeit dark.
