The first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones might not have been heavy on the twists. But it sure was heavy on big revelations that have been long due, changing the course of the show for good. One such plot point was Jon Snow's lineage. For the most part of the show, he was known as Ned Stark's bastard. But the audience had their suspicions that there might be more to Jon's story than what has been told and they were right. Today, on Game of Thrones, Jon Snow learnt the truth about his lineage as well when his BFF Sam lets the big secret out. Of course, Bran was the one who asked Sam to do so. Kit Harington, the actor who plays Jon Snow, is quite excited about the development. In an interview with EW, Kit revealed the complex emotional details that his character must have gone through while filming the scene. Kit said, "He [Jon] doesn’t f—king want it. He doesn’t want that f—king information. He doesn’t want to know. He has no ambition for the throne. He’s never wanted that. The end of the world might be coming soon but at least he’s in love with somebody and knows who he is, and then comes this sledgehammer,”
John Bradley, who plays Samwell aka Sam, chimed in, "With Jon, he can review his entire life backwards and see everything completely different and in sinister terms even if [withholding his parentage] was done for the right reasons. Everything he’s done seems to have been compromised.”
We are excited to see what happens next on Game of Thrones. The revelation changes everything. While the allies are already not happy with the fact that Jon Snow quit his title of King of the North to pledged himself to Daenerys, the revelation will also crop up tension between the Stark sisters and Jon.
