Web-series are the future of entertainment and are here to stay. Many known names from television and Bollywood are trying their hands successfully at OTT platforms. FYI, telly queen Ekta Kapoor owns her own streaming platform called ALT Balaji. After giving viewers a mixture of content-driven series like Mission Over Mars (M-O-M), Cold Lassi Aur Chicken Masala and much more, this time she's back with a show for the masses titled Fixerr. A Soham Shah-directorial, Fixerr is the new web series on her OTT platform which stars TV star Shabir Ahluwalia, along with a super-terrific supporting cast. Popularly known for essaying the role of Abhi on the small screen in Kumkum Bhagya, Shabir has ditched his saanskari side in this one and you will be seeing him in a completely different light altogether. On October 7, 2109, the makers of the show released 10 episodes on the OTT platform and must say we are impressed! In fact, the very first episode of the series starts with Shabir being shot in the middle of the road outside a police station! Won’t that put you on the edge of your seat, huh? In the series, he portrays the role of a cop Jaiveer Malik. The makers takes us in a detailed flashback which we witness in the episodes ahead. The story of this one revolves around Shabir, a police officer who after getting suspended gets attracted into the evil world of crime, cinema and mafia. Coming to ensemble cast, Tigmanshu Dhulia will be seen as Shabir's senior while Mahie Gill stars as his glam wife, Kesar. Isha Koppikar is pure gold with her Marathi accent and is seen as Malik’s junior. Karishma Sharma joins the series to essay the role of a sizzling actress Aahana. Indeed, Fixerr is packed with a powerful punch and is sure to change the OTT game!

One of the plus points of the series is that it is not at all stretched and the episodes are short and up to the mark. If you are still not convinced, let us tell you that you’ll get a peek of Rakhi Sawant too! Also, the only minus part about the series is the core concept which seems a little dated. Sacred Games, Shootout at Lokhandwala, such content has existed and this serves nothing over-the-top as such.

That being said, Fixerr is a must watch if you are the one who loves potboiler kinda cinema, and this one promises you action, thrill, as well as comedy. Do give it a chance!
