Actress Shrenu Parikh was one of those unlucky members from the television fraternity who contracted COVID-19 while in her hometown Vadodara. Unfortunately, Shrenu had stepped out for a shoot and suspects that maybe she contracted the virus then. "Not sure how it happened but it could have been that shoot I went for because before that I didn’t really meet anyone or go out!" However, Shrenu was symptomatic and had all of them like cough, cold, fever, weakness and even loss of smell. She is also thankful that it was only her who caught the virus and her family members were safe. Shrenu Parikh Birthday Special: 10 Unmissable Bridal Pictures Of The Ishqbaaz Actress.

Ask her about her reaction when her reports came out and Shrenu revealed, "I was shocked and was in denial for the longest time." She also revealed to a daily, "My parents immediately informed about the development at their respective workplaces and we also informed our maids, asking them not to come. I was asked to take my stuff and visit a COVID hospital. It was hard to believe that I was actually sick. At the hospital, there were no beds available, and it broke my heart to see so many people having to go back. I was told that if I wanted to get admitted, I needed to go to the general ward. I agreed because getting treated ASAP was more important than anything else." COVID-19 Positive Actress Shrenu Parikh Discharged From Hospital (See Pic).

Now that she has fought through the harrowing experience and emerged victorious, we quizzed Shrenu about some popular COVID-related myths like how once someone suffers from COVID-19 their body becomes immune to the pandemic. Debunking that myth, Shrenu revealed, "No it’s not true... you do get immune to it for 2-3 months though". Another myth that Shrenu revealed was not true was the breath test. For those who are unaware, it has been spread on social media that if an individual can hold their breath for 10 seconds without getting breathless or cough he/she does not have COVID-19. Revealed Shrenu, "people say if you can hold your breath for 15 seconds you don’t have it, I could hold my breath for 25 seconds I still had it!"

Opening up on her road to recovery, Shrenu revealed, "My road to recovery was by God's grace easier than what I thought it would be. I was told by the doctors, 'it’s a funny disease, with each day each patient we learn too as we don’t have any studies backing up the treatment.' I was given anti virals, a few injections everyday and regular tests, good diet, kaadha and was told anything other than allopathy you feel works you should use - steam, gargles, kaadha. These were my other methods to boost my recovery

Now I'm home but still take meds and eat ghar ka khana."

Ask her about if she is in the frame of mind to return to work after recuperating fully, the actress concludes by saying, "It was scary but also a learning experience... the whole nation is trying to get back on their feet!

I am willing to go back to work as I know how I need to be more careful now even if I choose to start working around my staff and crew because everyone’s at equal risk and we all have to take care of each other! Being selfish won’t help us win the battle...!" Rightly said Shrenu!
