TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor, earlier today, announced the birth of her baby boy via surrogacy and congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the popular film and television producer on social media. Ekta was fighting to become a mother for the past 7 years and her prayers seem to have finally been answered as she welcomed her first child on Sunday (January 31). Ekta, a while ago, took to the photo-sharing app to announce the baby's name and also penned a heartfelt note. Throwing light on it, Dr Nandita Palshetkar, who guided Ekta throughout the process, shared, "Ekta Kapoor came to me some years back to become a mother. We tried to help her get pregnant with multiple cycles of IUI and also multiple cycles of IVF but we were unsuccessful. Hence, we had to take help of the technique of surrogacy, which we performed 9 months back at our Bloom IVF centre. Nine months later, she had achieved success with the birth of a child on Sunday." Well, looks like Ekta took inspiration and followed in brother Tusshar Kapoor’s footsteps. The Bollywood actor also went the surrogacy route and welcomed baby boy Laksshya Kapoor in June 2016.
Ekta, who penned an heartwarming note, wrote that there is nothing that can beat the joy of being the mother as she announced the name of her baby boy. Ekta's note read, "By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother to my little bundle of joy, Ravie Kapoor." Back in 2016 when Tusshar Kapoor welcomed his son via surrogacy, it was said to have set a huge example in the society for encouraging the procedure, more importantly, Tusshar broke a lot of taboos surrounding surrogacy by taking this step. And looks like Ekta is now paving the same way for everybody else. We congratulate Ekta on her baby boy and now eagerly await for the lady’s announcement and also a glimpse of her baby.

Ekta Pens a Heartfelt Note As She Reveals Her Baby Boy's Name
On the professional front, in April last year, Ekta launched her digital platform Alt Balaji, where she could experiment with content that was not suitable for viewership on television. And even before completing a year, Alt Balaji is one of the most viewed OTT platforms in the country. In 2018, Ekta launched her pet project Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, which stars Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan and Hina Khan (who plays the antagonist) in the lead roles.
