If you have been following all the updates on Lok Sabha Election Results 2019 that were being announced today, you probably know that Soap Opera queen, Ekta Kapoor was glued to the Television, cheering hard for her close friend and former colleague, the lead actress of her famed 90s show, Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi star Smriti Irani. Of course, Irani has been in the politics since a while now and was one of BJP's key candidates who was contesting from the constituency of Amethi, which was once known for being a Congress stronghold. Emerging victorious by a huge margin as she beat Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Smriti Irani has been one of the biggest success stories of BJP in this election.
Naturally, thrilled by her win, Ekta Kapoor took to social media to share a lovely picture of herself along with Smriti Irani but what truly caught everyone's eye was her caption. Sharing a picture of the two, she wrote, "Rishton Ke bhi Roop badalte hain, naye naye saanche Mein dhalte hain, Ek peedhi Aati hai Ek peedhi jaati hai... Banti kahaani Naayi." Does that ring any bells? Well, these are the lines of the popular title track of Smriti Irani starrer soap, Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
