After much back and forth, denying and dodging the news, it has finally been confirmed that Colors’ on-going supernatural drama Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, starring actors Adaa Khan, Shilpa Sakhlani and Arhaan Behl in the lead roles, will soon be shutting shop in the coming few days. And taking its place will be a new show. Titled Vish: A Poisonous Story, the show will also be based on the ‘vishkanya’ genre. And the producers Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvej have even roped in their final cast. Debina Bonnerjee confirmed the news to Bombay Times and revealed, “This one will be my first attempt at the supernatural genre and I am quite excited about it. I believe that when you choose to be part of a show, you should do what people want to see. The supernatural genre has become very popular and I’m going by the trend. A source revealed to the daily that with Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara’s current storyline not working out, the decision to pull the show off-air was taken. The storline of Vish: A Poisonous Story will trace the journey of a doctor, who is forced to turn herself into a vishkanya to save her lover.

While Debina will be playing the vamp in the show, Sana and Vishal will be seen opposite each other as protagonists. The show will go on-air from June 3.
