Well, this is not the first time that Indian Television borrowed so generously from the HBO series.

Yes yes, you have read the statements complete right and are not imagining reading/seeing it. And if you have seen the sequence, then God bless you. It’s not uncommon for television shows to re-create famous film sequences time and again on their shows, but re-creating iconic scenes that will be remembered for generations to come?... not a smart move. And that’s exactly what makers of the Siddharth Nigam – Avneet Kaur starrer Aladdin did in a recent sequence on their show. Shah Rukh Khan Inspires Aladdin? Siddharth Nigam-Avneet Kaur’s ‘Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga’ Teaser Video Holds the Answer.

In a fight sequence featuring lead Siddharth aka Aladdin, he is seen trying to attack the bad guy (in this case a skeleton). However, the boney structure captures Aladdin by his neck, just like the Night King did to Arya Stark in Game of Thrones season 8. And Aladdin manages to kill the skeleton by stabbing it between its ribs with a knife.

This was the GoT reference. Now coming to the Avengers: Infinity War scene that was adapted on the show, after the skeleton dies (can you believe the irony of that statement?), it vanishes into thin air, just like half the world did when Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Infinity War.

Don’t believe it? See it below:

Well, this is not the first time that Indian Television borrowed so generously from the HBO series. Sasural Simar Ka shamelessly copied the series’ Hall of Faces promo, Nagarjun – Ek Yoddha saw a replica of the Iron Throne, just that this throne was made of snakes to go hand in hand with the theme and Drogon found his twin in a war sequence in Star Plus’ Aarambh. Well, your thoughts on this matter? We are too messed up to say anything.
