If one thing that the Indian TV doesn't have at the moment it is more of Shaheer Sheikh. The actor was last seen in  Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali. But with the news of the show going off-air, fans must have been disturbed as to how they will see Shaheer on screen. Worry not. The actor has bagged a brand new TV show. The handsome actor will be seen in the spin-off of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which should go on the floors soon. Yay! There were reports that Harshad Chopra was being considered for the role but it only turned out to be a rumour, now that Shaheer's name has been officially confirmed.

Rajan Shahi, the producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, confirmed the news while talking to Bombay Times. “We are working on a spin-off of 'YRKHH', which completed 10 years, recently. Shaheer has been signed on to play the male lead. He will be seen in a dynamic role, which will be different from his previous outings. I realised that some characters from the original show deserve to be explored further in the spin-off. The title of the new show is yet to be finalised,” he said.

Shaheer, too, has verified the news and said, “Yes, I have been in talks with the production house, but I was in Jammu over the past few days. I will be returning to Mumbai today, and will take things forward.”

We hope YRKKH spin-off sees a better run than Salim-Anarkali. It almost is hard to believe that a TV show starring Shaheer didn't go well. We have high hopes with the spin-off.
