Colors’ New Show Kesari Nandan: Manav Gohil to Play Aamir Khan's Role in Dangal Inspired TV Show

The channel’s next offering will be based on the much-acclaimed movie.

Colors' channel seems to be on a launching spree. After Tantra and Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, the channel’s next offering will be a story based on Aamir Khan’s hit movie Dangal. And the project has been titled Kesari Nandan. The plot of the story will revolve around the female protagonist, who will want to follow in the footsteps of her father, a wrestler and become one. The protagonist in question is child actress Chahat Tewani, who will be seen playing the titular character of Kesari, and the role of her father will be portrayed by seasoned actor Manav Gohil, a report in Mumbai Mirror stated. The reports also mentioned that a ‘lean’ Manav, had gone ahead and bulked up his body for the role of a wrestler. Dangal Actress Sanya Malhotra Wants to Take a Break From Movies to Learn Tap Dance

The plot will be similar to the movie Dangal, with a small twist. In the show, we will see Manav’s character Hanumanth have a son whom he will be seen coaching, but will also start training his daughter, once he comes to know of her ambition to become a wrestler. Seen alongside Manav and Chahat, will be Aastha Chowdhary, who will play Madhvi, his wife.

Manav was quoted by Mirror as saying, “I am undergoing an extensive training program for the show. My character Hanumanth Singh is a wrestling legend who has won a lot of accolades and is quite renowned in his area. His goal is to see his son take forward his legacy and win an Olympic gold for the country.”
