Ami, who would love to accept the role if offered, feels it difficult to fill into the big boots of Disha Vakani. The actress further added, "It is a huge responsibility and would be difficult for any artist to fill into the big boots of Disha Vakani. I am sure any actor who replaces her would have to face bricks and stones at the beginning because Disha has been associated with Taarak Mehta... for 10 long years and the audience love her. I can't comment on your question till the time I am approached the show. Once the makers offer me the role, I will be in a better position to talk."
On the personal front, the actress, who got married to Mayur Pandya (a chartered accountant) on November 24, 2015, was blessed with a baby girl in November 2017. Reports indicate that the little bundle of joy arrived nearly two weeks before the delivery date, which was December 20 (2017). The actress had a grand baby shower at her residence in the city, while present at the event were Dilip Joshi, Samay Shah, Munmun Dutta and of course reel son Taapu aka Bhavya Gandhi.
