The eighth season of Bigg Boss Tamil premiered on Vijay Television and Disney+ Hotstar on October 6. This time, the usual host, Kamal Haasan, has stepped aside, with his Vikram co-star Vijay Sethupathi taking over hosting duties. The contestant list is quite interesting, with 18 celebrities competing with each other to win the grand prize. Sachana Namidass, a Tamil actress who recently played Vijay Sethupathi's daughter in the 2024 blockbuster Maharaja, is part of the lineup. Other actors participating in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 include Pavithra Janani, Sunita Gogoi, Deepak Dinkar, Sathya SK, and Dharsha Gupta, many of whom have appeared in serials aired on Vijay Television. Popular influencer and content creator Muthu Kumaran and Jeffry are also part of this season’s lineup.

The show will air from 6 pm to 10 pm for about 100 days. An interesting twist about the eighth season is that the house will be divided into two sections gender-wise, making it a male vs. female contest this season.
