Bigg Boss Contestant Bandagi Kalra Allegedly Cons a Student into Buying Fake iPhone; Complaint Filed Against Her
Bandagi Kalra is in a legal soup for allegedly selling fake iPhones to a student
Bigg Boss 11 contestant Bandagi Kalra has apparently been accused of conning a 21-year-old engineering student into buying two fake iPhone. According to The New Indian Express, Bandagi was in partnership with two firms - Different Collection, Nexafation.com, sold iPhone X to the student through these companies.
The 21-year-old student, Yuvaraj Singh Yadav who a resident of Munekolala in Marathalli, has revealed in his complaint that Bandagi has posted on Instagram about two brand new iPhoneX models for sale for Rs 61,000. He paid an advance of `13,000 through PayTM and was going to pay the remaining sum on receiving the phones. However, when he collected the phones and paid the amount, he opened the box only to see fake iphones in them. He did try to get in touch with the companies and Bandagi but the actress didn't respond.
He had no other option than to file a police complaint. A police officer said, “Preliminary investigations have revealed that Kalra and Yadav were in touch over Instagram. She had shared details, including her email ID and the email ID of the firms."
Speaking to The New Indian Express, Yadav said, “I have been cheated. Upon the arrival of the package, I tried to contact them (firms and actress). There was no response. Then, when I told them that I have filed a police complaint, they asked me to withdraw the case and threatened to file a counter-complaint against me for blackmailing them. The actress, however, has not responded to my messages. I have borrowed money from many people to buy the phones.” The report further suggests that a special team has been assigned to question Kalra in Delhi.
Bandagi was on Bigg Boss 11 and was in the news for her alleged love affair with fellow contestant Puneesh Sharma. Neither of them won the show, but are still dating.
