‘Bigg Boss 18’ Exclusive: Hema Sharma Aka Viral Bhabhi Claims Ex-Husband Gaurav Saxena Brainwashed by Dalljiet Kaur’s Second Husband Nikhil Patel for Divorce

Hema Sharma who was the first contestant to be eliminated from Bigg Boss 18 is facing some severe allegations from her second husband, Gaurav Saxena. She married him in 2021 after meeting him on a matrimonial site. He has claimed that she is a negligent mother, and he has been used due to his solid financial background. LatestLY met Hema Sharma for an exclusive chat in the suburbs. At the outset, we asked her about her journey on the show. Hema Sharma said she is happy that she got a huge platform like Bigg Boss 18. “It has given confidence that I can move ahead in life even without a husband’s support. More people know me now, which is great. My only regret is that my stay was too short. I wanted to do so much,” she sighs.

So, was it a wrong decision to go to jail in the first week? “Sitting inside, even I felt like I had made a mistake. I was wondering what my family would be thinking. When I came out, it took me two days to understand the rules, bond with others and so on. Then I was out. But when I came out, people told me that they liked me inside the jail. They enjoyed the emotions, it connected more with people,” she said. Hema Sharma said that viewers came to know that even Shrutika Arjun wanted to go inside but she was the one. “I read comments where people said I was indeed the better choice,” she said. Would she like to go back inside as a wild card? “Yes, definitely. Hema Sharma who is a divorcee has a son, Yash from her first marriage. In 2021, she married Gaurav Saxena, a finance professional who works in Uganda. He too is a divorcee. The couple have a son who will be two years old soon. According to him, she has demanded a flat worth INR 2.5 crores if he wishes to get custody of his child. Hema Sharma told us in a matter-of-fact tone, “If he feels from the bottom of his heart that Hema is a mother of two kids, and she needs a good home, he should consider the settlement. I am okay even if he does not wish to give anything. I did not take a single rupee alimony even from my first husband. But then, he can forget about his son. He is not fit to raise a child. Gaurav knows it is only a mother who can care for a kid even if she lives in a hut. When he comes from Uganda, he is busy meeting friends, going to clubs and spas. He has his skin care appointments and what not. But he does not have time for his child,” she said.

When we told her that women who have two failed marriages are perceived rather badly, especially on social media, she said she does not care. Hema Sharma told us, “I am a family-oriented woman. When I married him, I had a child with him, as I wanted to give him the joy of fatherhood. His first wife could not bear him any issue. Once he had his child, he began to hate my elder son. As a mother, I could not bear it. Now, my lawyers will do the talking. I have made up my mind on divorce and do not care for others. Main uss aadmi ki shakal na dekhoon. Hema Sharma on Gaurav Saxena’s Alleged Physical Abuse

The lady told us she does not wish to subscribe to society’s hypocritical views around divorce and women who marry more than once. “Emotions like sympathy, anger and regret is applicable to males too. Why is no one saying they have failed as husbands. After March 31, 2024 I said I do not care. I have seen homes where near and dear one’s ruin lives. I took a chance with my second marriage, it did not work out. What do people want? Mar jaaon uske saath,” she said.

In the press meet, she said that Gaurav Saxena was physically abusive, which is why his first wife left him. She alleged that she is back with her parents in Kanpur, and did not even take any alimony. “After I asked for divorce, he began to say my first wife was a better woman. If she was so good, then why did you leave her. She left him in 2015. He could have pursued her. Gaurav just missed someone who would tolerate his abuses and yet make hot rotis for him night and day. I am not willing to do that, “she says firmly.

Hema Sharma said she has no issues letting her sons bond with their biological fathers. “My elder son just spent some time with his father. I have no objection. The boys should not feel they are without a dad. Also, life is uncertain and parental love is precious. I do not believe that divorce hua toh duniya khatam. I need to live my life. My journey is not complete. Life is about second chances, I believe. Once my younger son is older, he can spend as much time with his father. I just want to live my life. I believe God chose my womb for these two kids. If I wished to extort money, I would have done from both the men. I do not have that tendency. Yeh socha uske bina main mar jaungi but I am doing well,” she says assertively.

Hema Sharma says the only reason her estranged husband has taken to slamming her on social media is jealousy. “Aadmi Jaat Hajam Nahi Hua…Abhimaan picture dekhe hai naa…He wanted all this when I was with him, but sadly it did not happen. Once he exited my life, things got better professionally. He would say I am not worthy enough to wear diamonds. Now, people say I am a diamond,” she laughs.

She also said that Dalljiet Kaur’s estranged second husband Nikhil Patel and Gaurav Saxena work in the same firm. “See, if my partner had said things like open marriage, I would not see his face. I do not understand why Dalljiet has written mother of three in her bio. Is someone giving her an award for this? Laat maro usko (Nikhil Patel),” she says with anger.

Hema Sharma continues, “Mar gaya hai who mere liye…I maintain my stance that I will leave him. I am not begging. Dalljiet sounded different. If they believe divorce is common, then they do not understand value of marriage. A woman knows her man inside out. It was Gaurav who started my character assassination. If he does not stop, I too have a lot to say about him.”

She also said that he was brainwashed by Nikhil Patel. “See, my husband can be influenced very easily. If someone tells him this is a good time to reconcile with Hema, he will try to do so. Like Nikhil, he too only cares for money. Gaurav wanted a financially lucrative relationship. I could not bring him profits. It is a shame that men like these two work in that organization, “ she said. Hema said it was a tragedy that Dalljiet Kaur sold of everything in India in hopes of a happy married life in Kenya.

Hema Sharma said she regretted her decision to remarry. “My mother has also accepted the fact that maybe a happy marital life is not her daughter’s destiny. It was a mistake but not one for which I should ruin my life. Living my life is precious to me. Gaurav can chart his path, I will do mine. And yes, I can handle whatever slander that will come at me in the future,” she said.
