A few months back it was being reported that a lot of probable names being considered for Bigg Boss 13 were quitting their respective TV shows to participate on the game show and share the stage with Salman Khan. However, one name that was true from the list was that of Paras Chhabra. Paras, who shot to fame after winning Splitsvilla 5, dating actress Sara Khan and also took part in Splitsvilla 8 again, quit his Sony TV show Vighnaharta Ganesh for Bigg Boss 13. And while Paras continues to make it to the news, thanks to his stint in Bigg Boss 13, the makers, after all this while, have found a replacement for him in actor Vishal Kotian, who was last seen in BIG Magic's comedy show Har Mushkil Ka Hal Akbar Birbal.
Vishal will be seen playing the role of Raavan in Vighnaharta Ganesh, in sharp contrast with his previous role of Birbal in his BIG Magic show. Confirming the same to Bombay Times, Vishal was quoted as saying, "From Birbal to Raavan, it’s been a long and exciting journey. After Birbal ended in 2017, I was gearing up to play an action hero in a new show, but it didn’t happen. Though I got a few offers for comedy shows, I wanted to attempt something different. That’s when I tried my hand at hosting a sports show, which has been a learning experience for me.” Bigg Boss 13: Shehnaaz Gill Takes A U-Turn, Leaves Sidharth Shukla's Side And Goes Back To Paras Chhabra
"I love doing comedy shows, but I have been lucky enough not to be typecast. Over the past 19 years, I have been part of drama, comedy, action, historical and now, mythology shows. People feel that comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I was comfortable doing it. In fact, I feel that playing Raavan will be quite challenging," concluded Vishal.
Vighnaharta Ganesh's track will soon focus on their Ramayan track, where Vishal will play Raavan and joining him will be actors Nirbhay Wadhwa as Hanumaan, Arun Mandola as Lakshman, Sarhaan Singh as Meghnaad and Bhupindder Bhoopii (Bhupinder Singh before name change) as Kumbhakarn, who were a part of the cast of the channel's previous show Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan, for this one as well.
