After Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui impressed us with some powerful performances in Sacred Games, now it is the turn of Emraan Hashmi to do the same with another Netflix property. This time, it has the backing of none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. And just like Sacred Games, Bard of Blood is also based on a book by the same name, written by Bilal Siddiqui. An espionage thriller, Bard of Blood has Emraan Hashmi's character, Kabir Anand, a retired RAW agent who returns for one last mission to save some captured spies in Balochistan, along with two associates. Bard of Blood has been making news with an interesting promotional campaign, involving the producer Shah Rukh Khan himself. Now the makers have dropped the trailer of the series and it looks amazing! Premise-wise, Bard of Blood feels a little similar to that of Nikkhil Advani's D-Day, at least that's what the trailer made us feel. However, Bard of Blood scores impressively on technical values and the cast roped in to play key roles, including Hashmi himself.
