Arunoday Singh Roped in for a New Thriller Series on ALTBalaji Called Apharan

The TV Czarina, Ekta Kapoor, is not just popular for her path-breaking content on her digital platform, ALTBalaji. A lot of web series on the digital platform have worked wonders for the production house. It is known for its variety of content. After the success of The Test Case, Haq Se, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai, comes a thriller from the producer. The producer will now be launching a thriller called Apharan and has already signed Arunoday Singh to play the lead in the series. It is a suspense thriller and revolves around Arunoday’s character – who once a celebrated cop, is now a tainted criminal. With a gripping plot, the show is filled with twists, turns, mysteries and web of lies.

Speaking about the show’s concept and working with the production house's digital platform, Arunoday said, "I’m very very excited about Apharan. It appealed to me the second I met Siddharth Sengupta and heard him tell me this story with so much passion and skill, I had to be a part of it. I’ve got very fond memories of Balaji from my Main Tera Hero days. It’ll be a pleasure working with them again, with their digital platform ALTBalaji." The show will be produced and directed by Siddharth Sengupta, who has earlier directed popular shows like Balika Vadhu and Gulaal.
