Rupali Ganguly's Anupamaa is headed for a leap. After four years of ruling over Indian TV's top spot, the show is seeing a drastic change. Rupali Ganguly who plays the title role is still a part of the show. She will be seen in an elderly look. The new season of Anupamaa will focus on the love story of Aadhya (Alisha Parveen) and Prem (Shivam Khajuria). We have seen Shivam before in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Nidhi Shah who played Kinjal has bid good-bye to the show. In Anupamaa, she was married to Paritosh/Toshu (Aashish Mehrotra). The married life of Kinjal was hardly peaceful with her husband's extra-marital affair and illness. But Kinjal was truly very dear to her mother-in-law Anupamaa whom she loved more than her biological mother, Rakhi Dave (Tassnim Nerurkar). Fans always had mixed opinions about Kinjal. They felt that she was quite selfish in her approach as she always used her mother-in-law's emotional side. Others felt she was perfect given how Toshu turned out in life. On her Instagram, she wrote that Anupamaa was terrific journey for her. She said she would be forever thankful to Rajan Shahi for this show. Nidhi Shah said it felt unbelievable to be part of a number one show for four long years. Her colleagues like Paras Kalnawat, Tassnim Nerurkar and Nishi Saxena left loving messages for her. The character of Dimpy aka Nisha Saxena will also be shown as dead in Anupamaa.
