Bigg Boss 12 contestant and singer Anup jalota had grabbed eyeballs when he confirmed his relationship with girlfriend Jasleen Matharu (who is 37 years younger than him) at the controversial Bigg Boss house last year. However, later when he was evicted from the show, the Bhajan singer came out clean and said in his interviews that they share nothing more than a 'guru-shishya' relationship, leaving everyone in shock. Talking about Anup's plans for Valentine's Day 2019, Anup in an interview with News 18, said, "I have celebrated quite a few Valentine Day's in my life. I have partied and celebrated it in foreign countries as well," further adding, "This day of love should be celebrated every day throughout the year and not just restricted to a single day."

When quizzed about Jasleen being a part of his Valentine celebrations, Anup said, "You are obviously aware that Jasleen and I were projected as a couple on Bigg Boss only for the sake of TRP. Our relationship is that of a student-teacher one." He further added, "I am looking out for a boy for Jasleen. She will celebrate Valentine's Day if and when she finds the perfect life partner."
