Claim to fame

Known as the Bhajan Samraat, Anuj Jalota is known among the music lovers for his bhajan and ghazals. He has never shown much proclivity to Bollywood music. Some of his famous bhajans are Maiyya More Main Nahi Makhan Khayo, Aisi Lagi Lagan, ag Me Sundar Hai Do Naam, and Jand Chadariya Jhini Re Jhini. He was conferred Padma Shri by the government of India in 2012.

Controversies

While he had stayed clear of any controversies, Anup Jalota's personal life has been under the scanner for having married thrice. But the biggest controversy that Jalota was in when a New York-based author Rina Golan has accused Subhash Ghai, Anup Jalota, Anees Bazmeeand Dr Ali Irani of indulging in casting couch in her biography. Anup Jalota (and the others) denied any such thing happened.

Bigg Boss 12 will give the viewers a more intimate impression of Anup Jalota, who is more of an unknown quantity here.
