Roy Jury expressed to the news outlet that his son, who had been arrested on April 2, had previously confided in his family about his struggles while in prison. Roy stated, “It should have been a red flag when Andy stopped communicating with family and friends. According to reports from The New Zealand Herald, court records indicated that Andrew Jury faced charges including ‘unlawfully entering a building, assault with intent to injure, wilful damage, possession of an offensive weapon and threatening behaviour’. Dion Paki, the general manager of Mt Eden prison, confirmed told the outlet that a man died on the morning of Thursday (June 27), despite taking all the efforts by the medical team and staff to save his life.
